Well maybe you enjoy working for others. Maybe those others you mention do too.
But personally I'd prefer to work for myself Get up when I want go to sleep when I want and work WHEN I want.
And a couple of other people think that way too.

<< I would never let money change my life.>>
I know what you are saying but it still will change in subtle ways and you just have to live with it(hehe)
For example, you may replace the tires on your car sooner that
normal and thus save an accident. Or buy a new car sooner.
If your company has to buy new equipment, like an expensive computer or exotic software it will be slightly less strain
if you are asked to do that.
Endless small things like that.. But heck, I think you will handle it well since you had the courage to hold last October (G)
Good luck

its not just the increase in the value of the investments, but the SATISFACTION AND PRIDE YOU HAVE of having picked a good stock like Dell and taken charge of your future.

* OT *

<< I don't understand why you people keep saying the increase in your investment porforlio has changed your life. Why does money matter so much? Give you some examples: >>

Byron,

On a physical level, going to work, etc, the money has not changed my life.....yet. I'm a camera operator. I travel the world and have a great time.

On an emotional level the money is starting to change me. I am becoming less worried about my future. I only have about 10 years of work left if I am extremely lucky. Knowing(??) I will have more money for my retirement is taking the pressure off. I'm enjoying life a lot more.

When you get to be my age you worry about where you are going to sleep when you are 70....in your own home or on a park bench.

If you don't understand, call me when you are in your 50's

All the best to you and your portfolio,
JimB
