Where did all this volume come from at the close? Were we not around 14,300,000 at the close?

If all you see is "newbies" or (God forbid) some superfluous b.s. from the infamous rectal orifice "Rosario" - be ready to bail bigtime (and don't pull the ripcord above 1000 feet).
