The way I see it, trying to catch a falling knife is crazy. Better to wait for the bottom and a confirmed reversal. Then buy in. You may not gain as much, but over the long run, you'll have smaller losses to offset the gains and should come out ahead. It's almost impossible to call tops and bottoms IMO.

I've also chased stocks until they peaked and then bought in only to get no gain or even worse, get hammered on a quick drop. I am slowly learning my lesson. The other one is never to buy or sell before 10:30 in the am. To many MM games. Sometimes it works, but often it's a crap shoot.
