Yes I bought 700 shares of Dell on October 8 starting at about 11.30 Am. I will never forget that day. THe incredible fear and panic in the morning; i bought Dell in 100 share orders at 40 13/16, 42, then later in the afternoon at about 43, and 45. I also remebmer being taken out by a stop loss order on the prior day you cited.

I remember that the few days prior I transfered the last of my MSFT, INTC, GE and MRK stock into DELL. Haven't looked back.. I know the rest have done well. But you know what, I have more belief in the current prospects of DELL as a STOCK and as a company for exceeding the industry growth than I do for the rest of them combined...

I love Dell also, but now let's hope that the "whisper" number hasn't gotten out of hand.

Jeff,
I remember the day very well. I got caught in a margin call. Will NEVER let that happen to me again. Thank God it wasn't DELL, but I didn't have the cash so I could buy more DELL. Now, I make sure if the market does anymore of those naughty things, I will be right there with a buy order.
