Richard,

I have no assumptions about the ramp up of revenues at AMAT.

I've been looking at the published bookings numbers from
Semi and compared them with the revenues AMAT reported the
same month.

AMAT SEMI Diff. AMAT vs. SEMI
10/98 673 638 5%
7/98 884 717 23%
4/98 1176 1102 7%
1/98 1307 1363 -4%
10/97 1280 1583 -19%

For three out of five quarters, the numbers were different in
the single digit percentage only.

Based on the latest available SEMI bookings of $871 mil. for
December and the uptrend of late, my guesstimate for AMAT's
revenue to be reported in February would be in the $900+ mil.
area.
