Lars:<<*** Anniversary Weekend ***>>

Lars, let me also congratulate Bob on his 13th anniversary. It is almost unheard of in this day and age of "ratings is king" media that any show, including a radio show, could survive and flourish for this period of time. I think we sometimes feel he is just advising us here on the SI Brinker threads when, in fact, he touches the lives of millions of people each broadcast. It just goes to show and confirm how popular Bob has become and how valuable the information and analysis continues to be that he imparts to us all each week end.

Let me also thank Bob for his consistency during those dark times in 1998 and his statement "I am here, I am Bob Brinker and I am bullish." I also want to thank him for his constant reminders last year that those of us invested in AMAT and other companies in the semi equipment sector would be wearing "watermelon smiles" in 1999. As usual, he was right.
So, congratulations to the Starship Commander for 13 great years as we continue on with the further explorations of the Starship Moneytalk and its mission to take us, its passengers, to "Nirvana, the Land of Critical Mass." Jeff

P.S. to Lars, in regards to the theme music for Moneytalk, since Bob wears the mantle of "Starship Commander" perhaps a little ditty from the original starship commander William Shatner would be appropriate. I understaand his rendition of the Beatles "Eleanor Rigby" is a hoot!

UAWs spend less time than PAWs in consulting with professional investment advisors, searching for high-grade accountants, attorneys, and investments counselors, and attending investment planning seminars.

*** Millionaire Next Door ***

Prodigious accumulators of wealth (PAWs) and their neighbors, the under accumulators (UAWs), have similar stated goals about achieving wealth. But these groups differ significantly in the actual and perceived time they allocate to planning for such goals.

Mr. Jon F. Clark does not suspect that his next-door neighbor is a millionaire. How can it be possible that people can be so similar in age (both are 51), income, family composition, even choice of neighborhood, and be so dramatically different in their respective levels of wealth? Because one's orientation is consumption. The other, investing.
