OT My little problem is that here in Canada our RRSP (401 in the US) plan has a foreign content limit of 20%. If you go above that limit you have to pay 1% per month penalty. I don't know what that works out to be compounded annually but I suspect it has to be 13+% anyway. I think it's worth it if you get a 100% return every year.

I just did this over the past 2 weeks. I had 35 contracts of Dell Feb calls in my RRSP. Waaaaaaaaaay over my 20% limit. Just sold them today and doubled my money. I'll pay a $200-$300 penalty but it beats investing in CDN stocks. I'm going to sit with the cash and buy Dell calls again, when we get a correction.

RE: Now I'll just hope for a pull back next week so I can get in.

James,
Don't wait... dollar cost average in by dividing the amount in 4 or 5 equal chunks... Transfer one part now and another each day/week or month depending on what your desire is for timing. That way you can feel justified for feeling good about SOMETHING. IF it goes up for three weeks straight, well at least you got 1/4 in at the "low" price. If it tanks in a week, you saved 3/4 of your investment for the "better" price. In a year or two, all of it will look like a great price. In 5 years, you become a genius.
