Marc: And sentiment has reached this peak when the S & P and NASDAQ closed at record highs yesterday on heavy volume. Market is sniffing glue here.

While I've taken a bunch of money off the table per fear of a fairly major correction, to sell more I'd be really increasing my tax liability. I'm now giving serious thought to shorting DIAmonds as a way of further decreasing exposure. While I sold a bunch of SPYders I have some left and I'm not anxious to sell as would now be against a cost basis in the upper 90's. Instead of raising short against the box issues I figured shorting the DIAmonds may be a simpler alternative. While I think I could short SPYders against the box for several months and remain in the guidelines, my accountant is now semi-retired and not extremely sharp so I might as well avoid complicated transactions that raise difficult tax issues. Anybody see a problem with this?
