Jim, You da man on this kind of stuff. It's uncanny watching the Fed's moves and the seeming correlation with how the market trades that day. With all the M's sky-rocketing Q4, makes you wonder how much of this parabolic rise is the direct result of lighter fluid on the fire from the Fed. Analysts had expected the Fed to add reserves to the banking system via overnight system repurchase agreements. In late morning trade, federal funds were trading at 4-11/16 percent, below the 4-3/4 percent target rate.
