We don't have a dog, so there is no worry! And I think you are right about the surge next week. Economic news for 1999 looks brighter than expected, and earnings reports are, so far, excellent. If the Fed decides to invest Soc. Sec. funds, look out! Wild cards are the impeachment trial, Brazil, China, and several other troublesome spots. And, like you, I am shifting nearly all of my attention these days to smallcaps. They've lagged the S&P, but the winners among them are really creating huge amounts of wealth for ordinary investors. Nor do I think the internet bubble will burst anytime soon... TC.
