Try downloading a CNN news clip on AOL.....NEVER HAPPEN

We get CNN news clips takes about 5 sec to download a 4min news clip.SPEED is the name of the game and as soon as you realize this the better you'll be,ATHM just signed a deal with MTV to have live jam sessions and live events. This is just the beginning. While were interacting with live events and programs you'll all be in the stone ages.........JUST FACTS

Keith,
Alot of families spend $20 going to McDonalds... Yes, they will spend the exta cost for ATHM speed... Remember alot of AOL or other dialup users have an extra phone line in the house... Just drop that line and you cover the cost of cable and gain many times the speed.

Also, you are right, many will not regularly download 180mg, but the way the internet adds are getting and the size of web pages, it is going to take a bigger and bigger pipe to do normal browsing. I have a T1 (1.54mb) line at work and it gets beat up with all of the images that web advertisers are throwing out. Technology is not making surfing more efficient, it is just putting more out for us to have to pull down.....

I see you are on the AOL thread. Although I stated that AOL was worth a siginifant penny, that was before a near 100% rise in price over less than a three or four month period. Keep that in mind when thinking about our last debate.
