<if he hadn't been suckered >

The great one can be suckered? Say it isn't true!

Scumbria,
RE: "He bought in at $15, and would have gotten out on
earnings day, if he hadn't been suckered by all the nonsense on
this thread about "blowout earnings"."

-----

Paul never said he bought at 15. 17 1/8 and added at 15 1/2. Then again, how did he figure out when to buy? Hummm...It was information about better yields posted on this BB back in June. Back when AMD was 16 and change.
I dont think anyone suckered anybody. If anyone had told you, which they did, that AMD would sell 5.5 million chips in Qtr 4, after AMD said they would make 4.7 million, you'd expect they would have blowout
earnings. If you knew that AMD had made 500k K6-400s, would you have
believed that they had a mask problem? No.
The estimates you read on this BB were a legitimate extension of that. What was hidden was the mask problem, dumping and subsequent low ASPs.

I think those who didn't see it coming are still going to be OK though...

Regards, Jim
