Michael: It was interesting to note that Tom Dorsey was talking about the Q on CNBC. If you look at the MACD charts for QCOM on the Wall St. City technical charts, you will also note that QCOM reversed back to the buy signal after the big upswing the past 2 days.

This is the first time the Q has quickly returned to the same price as it was right after earnings. 4 quarters I have cheered as this stock anticipated good earnings, only to remain in the trading range for the next 3 mo's.
I think that the stock is poised for a retest of the 52 week and historic highs very soon. The March and June quarters are going to be very easy earnings comparisons, given the debacle last spring. When people look at a FY 99 PE around 20, this stock has plenty of upside. (I think we already know what a great base the stock has!)

It is interesting that their patents are featured on the cover. Is there a message in there to the ITU and ETSI?

Another interesting bit of trivia is the list concerning analyst coverage found on the inside back cover. Notable by its absence is Bear Sterns.
