BB, Thank was me taking a position in an OS stock. Figured it had to be a good bottom since it has been there 3 times already. <g>

Seriously, GLM has been advertising for someone to buy/merge with them in the Houston papers and elsewhere. Maybe they found someone.

bb, Re: GLM

CNBC noted that there was one 5M share block trade. They speculated that someone was terminating their position. <g> They indicated that they thought it was Merrill.

Historically you will do quite well buying at these levels. Frankly, I ran the whole OSX group though my FA scoring system a while back. GLM gets a 6 (a perfect score is 13). Numero uno in the group was VRC with an 11. I've been patiently waiting for the daily charts to give a buy signal. I think we are so close that you would not be hurt!

I don't know why, but watch CHV. When it turns, so will the OSX group. As Bill has trained us, all disclaimers apply.

BB, the OS meet my scenario of oil starting to move up around end of March or April due to power transfer problems in Saudia Arabia, and unrest in the ME.

There is a complete "give up" on oil and oil stocks, it seems that the commonly used phrase of "- they do not do this stuff any more" from the early 80'th vanished and TECH stocks are in fashion. (CSCO, DELL, MSFT, SUNW etc.)

For the patient investor it is time to accumulate and wait. Have not seen a car running on software or silicon chips as fuel nor have I heard of a electric turbine generating power out of water.

Recent technological developments made discovery much more cheaper and reserves more plentiful and electric turbines are around 10% more efficient than 10 year ago (which BTW is very substantial).

The recession in SE Asia and Brazil has lowered demand. Those economies are starting to stabilize and there will be pick up in demand. In the US and Europe oil consumption is on the rise and Nuclear power is passe for the next 5 to 10 years.

All those factors point to higher oil prices by summer.

Is it not all about buy low sell high?? in investing
