Excellent point.

Volvo.

In 5 years nobody will know what geocities is (or was). They won't think twice about it as they drive along in their Volvo pickups.

memflyken2, you raise an interesting point about the Volvo acquisition by Ford. I do not know the details of that acquisition. Perhaps you can share them with us. Is Ford buying them with cash or are they using their fairly valued stock for the purchase?

The one thing to keep in mind with the Yahoo acquisition of Geocities is that the purchase is financed by Monopoly money otherwise known as Yahoo stock. A big difference from the Ford/Volvo deal.

p.s. I think you mixed up the companies with the following statement:
>>but an exemplar of the New Paradigm (oh, how I hate that word), sells on the same day for roughly 60% of what Ford pays for YHOO...<<

Obviously, Ford did not buy Yahoo.

>Remember well this day: the day GeoCities and Volvo were both bought.
>Which company would YOU rather own, bulls?

Well, with YHOO as an investment I could buy a Volvo, but with F as an investment, I could only buy a pinto :o)
