Joe,

I like the July 15s too. The put selling strategy was just mentioned on this thread a few days ago by a new poster. I am very much intrigued by it ...... my only ????? is how much capital the broker wants to hold by having the naked put position. The gentleman who posted about said he used that style to acquire stock on the way up while protecting his position. Very nice indeed.

I'm hoping for some good news with the upcoming earnings.

I've been an APCO holder for a few years and have been patiently waiting for this point in time for APCO. Noting W. O'Neil's theory about stocks with longs periods of appreciation, he states that these stocks normally have several good quarters of earnings and then the earnings explode, at which time the big price appreciation starts. I'm in no way trying to hype APCO (well maybe just a little), but I believe this explosive earnings is upon us, either this quarter or next. I still have my initial position from way back when and have been buying on the way up...@ 9 5/8, 10 1/4, 11 3/16, 12 1/2 & 12 1/8. APCO is going into '99 with huge earnings momentum and APCO should easily be a $25 stock by the end of '99, if not sooner. To quote a sitcom from the 70's, APCO might not put me on 'Easy St' but it should land me on 'Got it Made Blvd'. :-)
