Surface mapping within 5km2 area delineated xenolithic masses of a sedimentary sequence marked by basal carbonacsous shale with lenses of lignitic coal occurring both as steeply dipping, truncated and subhorizontal units in both low and high relief areas in contact with hydrofractured altered dacitic rocks containing 1% to 10% fine grained hypogene pyrite. Several visible gold specks were observed from a one kilo sample that was deslimed and panned. Prominently traceable structures are 1m to 3m wide silica and carbonates cemented fluidized collapse and mill breccias with clasts of the sedimentary units admixed with the dacitic rocks. Quartz and quartz carbonate veins exceeding 15 cm width are absent. All five samples collected at the vicinity of the FGX zone contained values above 2 grams per ton and anomalous values of antimony, arsenic and mercury. Native sulphur was observed associated to amorphous calcite filling cleavages in the shale.
