Joe ... hate to get involved, but my broker told me that the halt was removed. It is possible that he was incorrect ... but I have no reason to doubt him. (I spoke to someone at Discover late - so perhaps it was removed after the news)

Read the article again. Note the date of the halt "January 28, 1999

The stock traded today.

Here is the article:

WASHINGTON, Jan. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- The Nasdaq Stock Market(SM) announced that trading was halted in Commerce Group Corporation (Nasdaq: CGCOC) on Thursday, January 28, 1999, at 4:28 p.m. for "additional information requested" from the company. Trading will remain halted until Commerce Group Corp. has fully satisfied Nasdaq's request for additional information.

For more information about Nasdaq, visit the Nasdaq-Amex Web site at nasdaq-amex.com or the Nasdaq-Amex Newsroom at nasdaqnews.com.

It was halted on January 28, 1999 at 4:28. It traded January 29, 1999. I think that is what this says and trading today was real.

Joe ...

I have just linked onto your personal profile and now (after reading some of your recent posts) I can understand why you posted as you did. However, as a "business writer" I would think you would check your information more clearly. What I do not understand is how you could have checked with your 24 hour broker to find out the information you claimed. When I checked with mine (as I stated) he told me he saw no halt. Of course, he was checking for that day as you had so adamantly posted. I would suggest you change brokers if yours gave you the information that it was halted. His news was not only 24 hours old, but the very fact that the stock had traded all day Friday shows that it was definitely not halted. I can not find out how long the stock was halted, however, it is simple to see that if it had been halted after hours on Thursday and resumed trading at the open on Friday, all questions had been answered and the halt lifted ... thank you for posting old information.

Checking out your posts regarding PRFM, CGCOC it seems to me that perhaps you had missed the boat -- but then, I have little respect for Anthony and his methods. Seems some people are just unhappy to see anyone else do well.

Kindly make certain your alarmist posts are factual in the future before trying your scare tactics and causing people sleepless nights.
