Mark,

Regarding your experience and observations at Inprise's website, it's not going to be an easy task to remedy. Inprise still has its head in the sand in terms of coming to grips with its bush-league quality and poor implementation. They have a policy of not recognizing complaints and a plan to ignore them. You will find that their support staff is not just uninformed and ignorant but arrogant and incompetent. I can only assume those wannabee developers are trying to mimic the actual developers responsible for the worse-than-useless development tools this company subjects its customers to.

I used to know dozens of Borland tool users, I actually started using some of them myself a few years back. What I discovered was why there were suddenly no more Borland tool users doing professional work from those I had previously known. Sure, I realize some DAF (Dumb Ass Form) developers still use Delphi but then people still use Clipper and other tools that you would never consciously select if you had the foggiest notion of what you were doing. Save yourself (not to mention your clients) some time and money and buy something else, anything else.

I had experienced that as well when I tried to order my Delphi update.
Hopefully, they will get the same guys that do their GUI development to check out the web pages as a quality control effort.

Mark,

I think you should calm down and read some episodes of Dilbert around this point: dilbert.com
