NOT SO FAST BomboochaBoy -- I hereby file a PROTEST:

This is not to detract from the obviosly superior forecasting abilities of J.D. Main, Spreck, JC Reddy and Stormin Norman. They should indeed take full advantage of the bragging rights they have rightly earned.

HOWEVER

Some of us were fully cognizant (in hindsight if not foresight) of the fact that on January 31st, the date we were forecasting, is one in which the MARKET IS CLOSED! Armed with that knowledge, we made our estimates for the date closest to our prediction on which the market is open, which would not have been Friday 29 January but rather Monday, 1 February!

Because of this, and on behalf of all loser forecasters, I hereby request a RECOUNT at close of business Monday, and the award of an alternate prize for the biggest, baddest forecaster who came closest to the AOL price as of that time.

P.S. I really think we need to institute video replay for the next contest.

Boom....Say, do you suppose that fellow Art Stone, with a year end prediction of $37 dollars per share is a certain EEE_MIKE from the Yahoo! AOL thread?--an infamous "short" over there.

I sure appreciate the intelligent well thought out questions and answers here on the SI boards.

Regards, George
