Ahhhh...will look into that further

I know what you mean...I went over by a tad once and in my next statement that made a big deal of it.

Will Revenue Canada eventually penalize the broker - with the broker then capping your foreign trades?

I have always been tormented by the large number of great stocks that lie just to the south - yet I can only load up in my regular trading account - then enjoy paying taxes on the gains. There are a number of good Canadian stocks - but the very strong 'great' US stocks are where I want to be.

I spoke to an investment 'advisor' last year about this issue - and they understood the 'book value' to be the # shares x market price - 'which is why our brokers keep their foreign content around the 17.5% level'...Dah.

It's always killed me that when I get a great gain in my US stocks in my RSP - then take prudent profits - that I can't plough them back into other US stocks.

So with this 'I don't give a damn' stratgey - can I run my entire RSP exclusively in US stocks for years - or just the occasional trade - like loading up before a potential upward move?

In any case VNE.ASE is making me some very good $$.

David.
