ILIA KELACH'S (CHAIRMAN AND CEO OF BOTH PARLUX AND PRFM,) FAMILY OWNS MORE THAN HALF OF PRFM.

See hoovers.com

for the Hoover's description of Parlux. The description states that Ilia Lekach is chairman and CEO of Parlux, which sells perfumes directly to Dillard's and Neiman's and others, and also to the specialty outlet chain Perfumania, of which "the family of Parlux Chairman and CEO Ilia Lekach owns more than half."

This gives additional credence to my last post that Ilia Lekach, chairman and CEO of Parlux, who took over as chairman and CEO of PRFM from Simon Falic sometime between the 5/98 10-K and the 12/15/98 10-q, bumping Simon Fralic down to CFO and Secretary, would have the power to now remove him as CFO, treasurer and secretary.
IMHO
Of course, perhaps Simon just wanted to ease out of these positions, but it seems as if this move today was a continuing act of control on Ilia's part, and more importantly, not a sign of some sort of financial problem or mystery.

Mammom, that is great research. I am surprised no one is responding to your posts, because I find it very interesting myself. The more you research, the more I become less incensed about the late Fri press release... I am especially glad to discover that the CFO held his position for less than 8 months. That to me, doesnt say "he found something fishy and wanted out before the whole world discovered it"

If it was someone who was CFO for 7 years and then suddenly quit right before all these press releases, it would of raises a huge red flag to me... but this is just looking like a lot of BS in terms of family problems and power struggles. I think it's called narcism(?) when you hire your own family for these sort of heavyweight positions...
