Wasn't sure if it was for the occasional trade - or running the RSP exclusively in US stocks - as you are.

Here's a 'dumb' question. Is the penalty just 1%/month on the entire amount you're over - i.e., 1%/month penalty on the 80% you're over?
If so - that's a very small penalty to pay given the S&P gains each year.

I'm reluctant to short anything - potential of unlimited losses is a worry - here I guess you need a mimium loss # you're prepared to accept - set a stop loss - and live to fight another day.

Q. If it's apparently a small penalty to pay - why isn't everyone doing it?

If this strategy does work (for me) - I'll retire earlier and a far lot wealthier - thanks :)
