Payola, bribery, coercion, extortion....blasts from the past..the music industry has partaken of all these forbidden fruits...THAT is the illegal and inflationary profit that will be eliminated with any luck...take out that oh so fat middleman and stop the choke hold the powers that be have on the industry...ie if you don't knuckle down and take the paltry cut we give you, you won't be heard anywhere, anytime...THEN the artist might get a fair shake, and the consumer will also...
