For future reference -

Amazon send me an e-mail that my Gorilla Game book has shipped. I can't justify the stock (AMZN) but I love the store.

I found this spot on Yahoo the other day when Amazon was out of a book I wanted. I tried Borders.com and it worked just fine and got the book I wanted 2 weeks faster than Amazon quoted.

finder.shopping.yahoo.com

This illustrates how the convenience of the Internet can be a two-edged sword when your a retailer.

I assume you paid $18.20 for the book at Amazon.com.

For future information a quick search at bottomdollar.com could have saved you $. Another alternative would be a search at Yahoo shopping which yields the results at this link ( finder.shopping.yahoo.com )

You could have bought the book for less money at the following internet retailers:

Books.com $18.14
a1books $17.50
shopping.com $16.89
Barnes & Nobles $15.60
Buybooks.com $15.6
Alldirect.com $16.90

My comment based on the cost savings is Amazon faces fierce competition that will squeeze their margins. Checkfree faces little competition and it is much easier for someone to put up a book storefront then it is to be the plumber.
