I understand now, thanks. Guess that's one reason among many why certain people (those who do this BB shorting) have the upper advantage in trading. Selling stock in a manner you have described, then covering at rock bottom prices seems like a shew win for these folks, and its all legit?. Tracking the business fundamental of a company so one can get a good indication of mgmt and financials seems like an easy way to spot losers. Just look at what happened to BOST, FPNX, Zennith, etc, all losers that MMs probably played by shorting, hugh. If they know a company is heading downward and the MMs play the stocks in this way, what or how are we common investors to play. If we can't short like the MMs do, why should we even buy into a failing company (yea, I know that seems to have obvious answer, but just thought I'd ask) Thanks again, & happy investing.
