al,

How about we quit theorizing and attempt to find out exactly why these other European countries are being delayed.

Let's try contacting Astra/Zeneca and ask them WHY we haven't seen the normal 30 day approval on licensing.

You know, they are not obligated to launch MUSE for 12 months until receiving licensing.

They may be holding off on the last step of paper work because they don't want to pay the $8M until they are actually ready to launch. Interest on $8M adds up you know.

>>VLAD: I have thought more on your theory that A/Z is waiting for Viagra to enter the market before launching Muse. While this maybe a marketing strategy, I believe based on the success of Muse in the European countries to date, Muse has kept its market share. We must remember A/Z has a sales force that is respected and accepted by the European medical community and they will accept their products more readily.
A/Z strong position in Europe does not compare with the USA position Vivus was dealing with. I maybe wrong, but I still believe A/Z is very concerned about the USA contract, and is using their Ace card as a wedge. Wilson, although realizing A/Z would be their beat partner, is also playing it to the best. Perhaps Wilson feels A/Z has not yet, made their best offer!!!! On the 11th hour things change very rapidly. Just a theory.....Al <<

MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA!!

VVUS does not trade at a premium for anything. There is no premium to finding a partner in the US, There is no premium that the company CAN even be sold. In fact most people think looser wilson will turn this company bankrupt. After all how else can you explain the share price to book/asset value. Heck no one even thinks Astra or JNJ wants to sell muse even! Oh yea JNJ launched MUSE in canada, But what ever happened to the EU launch? Heck not even the shorts think this company will survive to be worth covering. Heck no one even thinks VVUS can do ANYTHING with the gene therapy stuff other than waste money. Or do anything with other future products other than drain more cash reserves.
Of course you can always rationalise how sweet shit smells. But that does not make it smell sweet to most other people or make them belive it smells pleasent at all.
