Toronto Star business has big write up, "Argentina Gold keeps up battle".Story goes on to say "scrappy junior mining company ARP added $10.5 million to its war chest to help finance the fight against a hostile takeover bid by Barrick. "The net proceeds of the private placement will be used to fund the company's ongoing drilling program, working capital purposes, as well as expenses related to the hostile takeover bid" ARP said in release. Analysts said ARP is trying to boost share values as high as possible before being taken over. "The results are very positive and everything, but are not by any means unexpected" analyst Haytham Hodaly of Salman Partners said Friday. "They're doing what every management team should be doing prior to a takeover". Good article and I think raising the $10 million is a stroke of genius on part of Lundin. Getting concerned Friday that maybe the stock was going lower but we are in great shape with money to work with and now that everybody knows all the details, I think we will be heading much higher next week. IMO the company in now well poised to battle with Barrick and the nervous shareholders (including myself) who weren't 100% sure what to do with our shares, can sit back and breath easy for now. I HAVE NO INTENTION OF TENDERING MY SHARES UNTIL MUCH HIGHER PRICE. I think ARP can withstand Barrick and are committed to getting the best for their shareholders. Good luck to all John Boyce.
