Bengalus,

I agree with parts of what you wrote but found the following statement somewhat hypocritical.

"If you don't know the details of their study results (not just the hype they spew out in a press release), then you've got no idea what you're investing in."

By your own admission, you don't know if Zicam will work and you don't know anything about the doctors who developed it. Therefore, one could turn around your logic and say that you are "stupid" for shorting the stock before you know the answers to these two questions. Let's face it: You are speculating that the product won't work and that the two doctors will be shown to be quacks. Longs are speculating that Zicam works and the two doctors have done their DD and will be found to be respectable. So I guess we are both "stupid" huh?

By the way, I read on the zicam web site that Drs. Hensley and Davidson are preparing a manuscript on Zicam. It doesn't say when it will be released but hopefully they will be finished with it soon and they have documented their research in such a manner that will be accepted by the medical community.

PS to pz: Thanks for the feedback. This reminded me about CNXS too.

Bengalus,

I never invest in a stock without the due diligence...I didn't just pick up shares because I hoped Zicam would work...I have owned this stock for two years. I bought into the concept of gum delivery system from an FDA approved facility. More importantly, I bought into Gary Kehoe...I flew to Phoenix, and spent the day with Kehoe. He gave me four hours of his time and answered my difficult questions forthright and with great competence. He has vision and expertise. As important, he has integrity. He undersells, not oversells. He told me no secrets. I had no clue that Zicam was on the way. Like you, I was non-plussed that this product appears outside the realm of their expertise. Don't get me wrong, to date I have no idea why or how GUMM got involved with Gel tech... Knowing Gary, however, of this I am sure: He is patient, smart and knows what resources he has. I caution you to take that into account. This may not be the reason I am in this stock but it is reason for optimism. That and the fact that I was already expecting GUMM's sales to quadruple without Zicam...Getting back to why GUMM is in this homeopathic drug, I would just say this, if this drug does what it says it does, would you pass it up? NOT ME. I would find a way to fit it in. One more thing, the manufacturing plant is not in Phoenix but Washington(I got this from the President of Gel tech). Money has been raised somewhere...

I talk to the company and try to remain abreast of what is happening. They give me no scoops but answer my questions intelligently and with enthusiasm... You may short them and call it a
"bad company" but, I doubt you have any special insight. And, if you are wrong you stand to lose much more than I.

Mike
