There is no one in the penny world who doesnt know that they are in the riskiest of all equity worlds. ************* ok here is the scenario: Plaintiff to Judge: I lost a lot of $$ cuz I bought a penny stock at 15 cents that went to a penny a few days later. My attorney: And why did you buy the stock? Plaintiff: I was tricked into buying it. My attorney: How were you tricked? Plaintiff: a guy on the internet posted the stock symbol to a hot stock picker and also posted a link to a web page that had the same name as the stock did. My Attorney: So why did YOU buy the stock? Plaintiff: Well hot stock picker made a thread on an investment forum and said the stock symbol belonged to the pple who owned the web site. My Attorney: So why did YOU buy the stock. Plaitiff: Well I looked at the we site and was very impressed. My Attorney: So why did YOU buy the stock. Plaintiff: Well - it was a very impressive web site .. and hot stock picker recommended it. My Attorney: do you have an investment adviser Plaintiff: No -- I trade by myself on the internet with a discount broker. I dont need investment advise...and I save a ton on commisions. My Attorney: Did you verify any of the information you were given? Plaintiff: Oh no, I trust Hotstock Picker totally ... and I was REALLY impressed with the web site. My Attorney: So are you saying that the only information that you had on the company was a web site that you saw on the internet which you believed to belong to ISTV and the information given on the Investor Forum thread. Plaintiff: That's correct. My Attorney: was there any other information on the Investor Forum??? Plaintiff: Well not much, everybody was trying to get information. My Attorney: So in other words, you bought the stock before you really knew whether or not the web site belonged to ISTV. Plaintiff: I guess you can say that. My Attorney: Was there anyone on the thread who waved any red flags or said anything negative about the stock. Plaintiff: YES! a guy named who call himself BARGINSTOCKER ... he was the grand master of the scheme. My Attorney: So what did he say on the thread?? Plaintiff: Well in his first post he said that the web site didnt belong to the company. My Attorney: after he posted that did you check it out?? Plaintiff: NO...I was relying on HotStock Picker who was hoodwinked by Barginstocker...and was too busy trying to buy the stock before anybody else found out about it so I could get rich quick.
