Chris; RE:" books "

>I recall you recommended two books and if you would post them again...

Begin with the original text, Chris - it is a beautiful introduction:

"Japanese Candlestick Charting Techniques", Steve Nison, New York Institute of Finance / Simon Schuster.

amazon.com

and supplement this with the best-detailed compilation:

"Candlestick Charting Explained", Gregory Morris, Probus Publishing Company.

amazon.com

...if you can afford but one, buy the latter as paperback.

>I'm going to buy the book you mentioned "Options as a Strategic Investment"...

This is a thick, graduate-level textbook, Chris.

optionstrategist.com

...when I ordered my copy direct, it arrived in Paris signed by the author, which was a nice touch.

There is a little CliffNotes - type summary booklet of this master opus available free, buried away at the CME website:

cme.com

...called, "21 Proven Strategies for E-Mini S&P-500 Options". This booklet has little to do with the E-Mini: it has simplified diagrams of all the spreads; one can use it as a kind of quick reference with pointers to appropriate sections in the McMillan book.

This free "E-Mini S&P-500 Trading Kit" package from the CME will be sent to you by snail-post, Chris - included is a little "options expiration date calendar" card that makes a righteous bookmark for the McMillan reference (^_^)

Happy to recommend these books to you, Chris - in sincere gratitude for all the things that you have recently taught me !

-Steve
