eBay allows anyone to explore this data going back one month in time.

I often use this to determine the market value of an item I plan to sell or buy.

For example, how much does a used (but good condition) IBM Thinkpad 770 go for on eBay? Depending on the configuration, with display size and CPU being most important, somewhere between $1500 and $3000.

For computers, going back much further than a month would be useless, since they decline in value so much. But for collectibles, the ability to go back a year would be very useful, and I wish eBay did offer that, and I might even pay $10 a month for the ability to extract that data. (Right now, I'm not even sure if eBay keeps that data.)
