Sasa... I can't answer your question, as I don't know much about shorting stocks. But I DO know how certain people on these boards operate and it's simply incredulous. Not the shorting itself, as that is a perfectly legitimate avenue of trading. But the way they will swoop down on a thread like a flock of vultures, with a well planned scheme of spreading misinformation, inuendos, and outright lies, all the while veiling it as though they are doing us newer traders a favor! When their main objective is to scare everyone out so the price will drop and they clean up. Still amazes me that they manage to accomplish it sometimes! And you tell yourself that it's better just to ignore their posts than get involved in the fracas. But then other people in the stock see no response to their false information, and assume they are right, so they bail. So you feel that you have to try answering them with rational posts. But they don't play rational! ; - D Helluva deal. Just part of the trading game I guess. Snerd

All: PRFM Sasa, I have the same questions. Actually, I am a bit confused by all this. As I watched on my screen, the trade prices did not meet the bid/ask prices...the actual trade prices were at least a point lower than the bid/ask. I don't understand the "sell 1/2" directive either. Could someone who understands what happened yesterday give a kind of play-by-play for us newbies. I understand what a short is, but can't make the connections to what I saw yesterday. Trying to understand...MMK
