Rick, Interesting post. The undervalued patent notion is certainly worth following up, although it is of course a very difficult endeavor. It gets even more interesting if you think about some smart big guy acquiring complementary patents from different companies and so locking up some area. CHIR has always been successful at squeezing real money out of its patent estate, so you'd think they would be open to this possibility. On a different topic, I'm starting to sense much more relative strength in the third tier in the past few days. A little early to tell if this is the start of a trend, but it's certainly worth watching. Someone other than just Lampert must have been busy, as we've seen some actual gains in a very weak overall market. When I get some time I'll post a somewhat off-the-wall valuation analysis I've been attempting of one of my 3rd tier holdings - TTP. Peter
