Hi John and thanks so much for the compliment; I try and so much of my searches are inspired by a starting point here on Techride. Sorry to hear you're getting work piled onto you on the dayjob after your nice vacation - that's going to be my situation these next few weeks with new work coming in now and still behind from the holidays and then getting the flu. Between us all we sure do own shares in pretty much all the best internets, don't we?! Good for you getting SUNW boy oh boy that one is going to start going huge with what it's got going - a buyout by ibm would be great for the short term but don't you kinda wish it would stay on it's own just to see it's stuff?!
I'm about to stick my neck out with another prediction - a gut hunch -
like the one I had about the MSFT Fed problems not amounting to a hill of beans.....Now that I sold all my NSCP shares I'll tell why - I think NSCP will be very cheap once again pretty soon for just a little while, and the reason why is I think maybe the AOL/NSCP merger is not going to happen or that there will be brief confusion over NSCP share price values because of the AOL split. I think either there will be trouble over AOL splitting and then still wanting to giveout 4.5 AOL shares to NSCP holders; or maybe it will be voted down or that NSCP will want to split and either do it or be held back from it by a one-sided agreement with AOL. I think there's some controversy coming over this issue. And in the meantime, the Netscape Portal keeps growing in scope every day on it's own. I just don't think we've heard the end of Netscape; its playing too dumb and it's got my whiskers up.
I sold all my NSCP, and plan to buy it back again on a great dip. If I'm wrong and it doesn't happen, well nothing lost, I made plenty of money from NSCP in 8 months, and I got enough shares of AOL to satisfy me prior to a nice split and might quickly get even a few more shares afterward. AOL's bound to do one or two more splits in '99 because they didn't do a 3 for 1 this time IMHO. Did you guys notice PFE (Pfizer) is giving a 3 for 1 split?! Best Viagra demo of all, if you ask me.
Happy Superbowl Sunday! You know who I am!! My Name Is Legion. I'm giggling with the ladies chatting and fussing over snacks during the game...watching the guys and the players totally uncaring of the score...more interested in the ads and the halftime. Hope you still like me after that shameful yet totally honest confession.
Yer pal,
Joanie
