Hi Poet... Insightful post. Thank you.

I just remembered some guidelines too. Why am I in this stock? What do I expect from it? Are the circumstances still the same? Has anything changed to make me re-evaluate my position?

After considering all of the above, I'm just as comfortable today as I was when I entered it. Nothing has changed.

Snerd

Poet,
This was a very nice post. I am always impressed by the sense of responsibilty exhibited by people such as yourself and Jeff.

But, everyone must understand that each person must be responsible for his/her own actions. I, for one, have gotten several great trading and investing ideas on this thread. And, due to timing, etc., I have lost my share. But, when the day comes that I blame anyone else for a loss because of my own lack of DD it is definitely time to hang up the old spurs.

It is OK to be a Newbie and get leadership here. But, we all must trust our own judgement. Live with our own actions. Develop a set of rules and be disciplined.

One rule I live by is to generally limit my "Risk" trades to 1,000 shares. The exeption has been ASCT but I am only in for $12,000. Don't get greedy. Let your money grow steadily. Hit the singles and don't worry about the homeruns and you will win the pennant.

Just my thought. Thanks again to you, Jeff,Snerd, and all the rest.

Regards.
Len

poet,
a little fear is a healthy thing. it increases the adrenalin flow honing the senses. it puts us in the fight or flight mode.
i expect the gap to start early and remain strong for several days. i think you and jeff do too.
my prediction.
some of those 9,000 shares will be set free early to fly.
the rest will have to fight hard to get away.
i look forward to your telling us about the battle.

Poet:

Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us. We so often do get a better picture of ourselves when we take the time to step back and have a look at ourselves in an objective manner and hopefully step back into ourselves much wiser people.

Wishing us all a prosperous Monday. Whether we get out PRFM with a profit or a loss, I think all of us have learned something about ourselves as people and traders. I know I have and appreciate all of you encouraging me to continue to grow...

Poet: Wow!! Very well said, I could not have put it better.

I hate to see people lose money, plain and simple. And did some hard thinking before starting this thread. I know that by being the creator of this thread and by posting my trades, some will blindly follow my lead..... and I am prepared for the day when some of the members here turn against me, the thread, or some of the leaders here due to a big loss that most assuredly will happen sooner or later....it is the nature of what we do. It WILL happen, and there will be one of you here that will blame me, Poet, Triffin, or someone else for the loss. It is easy to follow someone that you initially respect into a trade, but one in the trade, we all have different risk tolerances and disciplines (demons) to contend with. Many times, I will enter a trade and if it immediately turns against me, I will sell it within a few minutes......and it may never even get to the thread here .... or if I scalp it for a quick 1/4. I only post those trades that I feel are true position plays and that I know I will be holding for at least 30 minutes.

Believe me when I say, it is a very tenuous and difficult position to want to help so many but at the same time, realize that you are risking your hard earned dollars on our/my plays.

I wish I could stress enough the importance of developing your own strategies, tolerances and disciplines and not to follow anyone but yourself....but that is the nature of all of us. We want to make money and, at times, the allure is to great not to ride the DD of a trusted person. But again, there WILL be a time that this tactic fails us and as Jon K. stated, being human, we want to blame someone else....we all do it.

I worried about Poet's large position in PRFM as it, coincedently, is the same number of shares that I held during my "realization" trade in ASTM. It cost me $27,000, and was a good lesson.

Please, let us not lose what we have worked so hard to attain here. PRFM is NOT dead, and I still expect a gap on the open, and after that....we will see. But use this uncertainty as a measurement now to decide what you are feeling, how you are feeling, and how you will react if it indeed opens down on Monday AM.

And know that, even if you take a loss, it is not the end of the road....but a realization of what changes you must make to not allow that to happen again.

Good luck to all.

TJ

Poet PFRM

I bought this stock because I believe it was a good short term trade.
I receive many good ideas about stocks from this thread, I even though I do ask for your advice and others it is always my decision.

I hope you and TJ, Triffin, Snerd, MMK and all the others keep posting their ideas and opinions, and no matter what happens Monday, win or loose it is no ones fault, sometimes good trades turn bad, and bad trades turn good. Keeps things exciting, which is one of the reasons I like trading.

Thanks to you and everyone for all your help and advise.

Poet: As usual, you express yourself eloquently and with sincerity, as does Jeff. I want to thank both of you for your honesty and willingness to share both your triumphs and failures. I believe we are all responsible for our trades. When I first asked TJ about PRFM and he expressed some negativity, I listened and traded it anyway for some nice gains. By the time you and he got on Snerd's PRFM train, I was already in for 2000 shares in the 8's. If I lose, I do so because I made the decisions. I value your opinions and advice, so don't stop, just know that we are all adult enough to handle the consequences of our actions. The way this thread is run is invaluable to me.
Thanks,
Vic

Poet,

Beeing a newbie do not mean that we are not using our own judgement before making the decision to trade. I am conscious that there is a risk and I have to be ready to take it.Never will I transfer the responsibility to someone else unless I pay it to trade for me which is not the case on this thread....!!!

I am glad you are there and I am still behind you.If you think that you cannot make mistake we'll then have to call you ¨God¨ and I'd be embarrassed doing this:)))))))))))))))

The PRFM story is not over yet, things can change. After all it is not bad company the fundamental is good there is still hope!

No matter the conclusion of this trade is,it will be a positive experience for all of us.

I feel that I am lucky to have you Poet,Jeff, and all the others helping me learning the job!

We need you!!!

Nicole.
