I agree with snerd here. Many of us, myself included, freely admit that we are not investing in stocks which we intend to hold for just a few days. This thread is primarily about trading, both daytrading and position trading, not investing, although all well-presented issues are fodder here.

As a daytrader, I try to be flat (have no open positions) at the end of the day. I will sometimes trade an issue that is moving on news --without knowing anything but the ticker letters of the company-- selling within minutes. It's the nature of the daytrading "beast".
