All I know about bamboo rods are that some can be quite valuable antiques.I have a friend in the Catskills that has several that he says are worth few thousand each. Others I know are worth nothing. But could be so check it out probably best see a reputable dealer.

My grandfather loved to flyfish for salmon in Oregon. Actually bought some land there so he had a reason to go out there. He lived in central Illinois.

He died in the mid 40s but left several bamboo rods over the doorways in his home. To us kids they were cane poles that we used for yanking small bullheads out of the creek. All 4 pieces. Plus 2 tips. Would be worth a fortune today.
