Triffin Poet Re:PRFM

Triffin: good job on short selling explanation.
Its always good to get an idea of availibity of shares to short in an issue you are trading. Especially in short term volatile positions.

Poet: very eloquent post earlier on thread. I knew you were actively
daytrading this stock since you mentioned it the other day. I am as well. I am a fairly recent member to SI but I've been trading for some time now. Worked for Nikko Securities in 90. But anyway I wont presume to give advice. I often daytrade in an issue I hold a position trade as well. Your position in longterm is that the stock
will go higher. But daytrading is dynamic and moving with current trends
It is imperative to not let a position trade cloud judgement
on the daytrading opportunities.

I understand you are 7k long now. Even having bought at 13 I believe
you will be able to unload your highest buys at a profit on Monday.

Just my observations.
And best of Luck.

All...PSTA(s)... Since my last stock assignment is basically not doing anything, I've assigned myself a new one. Just reporting, no position.

PSTA: (Nasdaq:PSTA)Monterey Pasta Company
montereypasta.com
PSTA produces and markets premium quality gourmet pasta and pasta sauces. PSTA markets and sells through grocery, club stores and national distributors. For the nine months ended 9/27/98, revenues rose 10% to $19 million. Net income applicable to Common from continuing operations totalled $1.4 million vs. a loss of $149 thousand. Revenues reflect the company's additional club store distribution. Net income also reflects decreased S/G/A expenses due to lower professional fees and insurance costs.
