Bonnie Bear: The problem with using an index for market direction analysis is that the composition of the indexes is constantly changing to window-dress them. They are glorified mutual funds with huge turnover. Well I think there is validity in using Indices for MDA. However, I do agree the Indexes are window dressed on occasion to maintain performing issues. This should be no surprise. The very nature of some Indices limited to and structured around top issues demands this. BWDIK Regards, LG
