This one for all the AOL long:

Why am I buying AOL?

Few years back, very few people using Internet or knowing the
existence of it or the importance of it. I did not start using
it until late 1995.

I used to call my broker to make an order, I used to go to the
libraries to search for finance information, I used to buy
news papers, I used to subscribed Value Line, everything I did
were 2 days to 2 weeks behind the market movers , I can
only express my griefs quietly and lost money along with the
griefs.

Suddenly, I am using internet, modem 9600, 14400 were too slow,
but a 28800 modem seems fine so far for retrieving information
and trades.

But suddenly I am not 2 days or 2 weeks behind anybody anymore, the game is leveled, and I am AHEAD! and I start having a good dream!

Then I start realizing the power and the future of internet
gradually, but I was afraid to buy internet stocks because
I wasn't brave enough, I was in a jealous mood at the end
of each day seeing the internet stock flying.

Finally, I realizing the internet is here to stay for good and
it is just in the begining stage, this is like the late 70 and
early 80, then PCs is joke, no speed, no connection, bang! here
we are in the late 90's.

In the early 90's, I used PC for work only not until I have
connected to Internet in 1996, I was and I am and I will be
hooked to this infinite Internet and so will you because
we are finally connected! So I start buying internet stock to
go for broke!

Do you know how many people are through this same path as I was
eceryday to recognize the power of internet? That is future!

A. Greenspan even recognizes the power of internet, he knows
it is the future, Good future is priceless! he knows
that too, that is why he said what he said.

Why AOL? this is the same reason why people buy MSFT, IBM, GE
GM, MRK, CSCO, T, Dell, people wants to make money of their investment via stock but they want to play save too, the day AOL is added to the S&P 500 made AOL the leader in its industry,
BUY LEADER.

Why AOL? what is common to all the leader stocks?
Market Share

Why AOL? AOL has a young, smart, aggressive and restless
management, yes, others may grow, but AOL will lead the growth,
the future will only be brighter for AOL holders, AOL will sign
more telephone deals, more cable deals, more merge deals, more
subscribers and hence more commerce deals!

Why AOL? As I started reading AOL boards, I realized there are
many AOL-self-made millionaires here, they hold AOL in 10,000+
shares via stock splits and only a good growing internet stock
will split faster enough to push me into the self-made zone in
my calculated time table!

Greed and fear are two sides of any investor's mentality, but
I have to admit I adore the real long-term holders, they are
not budged or afflunced by others' opinion, they believe
as long as the fundamentals unchanged as the day the reason
they bought in, they'll hold
, I have to give in for that
belief because time and again, they are right and I was wrong.

So, as an AOL logn-term holder (at least, I try and learn to be)
I respect people who declares they are short on AOL and giving
reasons why they are shorting
, I feel sorry for those gutless people who try harder to conceive themself behind
the mask and giving all kind of figures and termnologies to
try to scare people off, boy, it hurts, because it insults my
intelligence (there is not much there, believe me because if I
do, I would'nt write this).

But I mostly respect people who try to provide more information
to firm my belief of AOL, because, like everyone else, I have
weak moment, but everytime I play I have to pay for my weakness. dearly

So, as a long-term, I wish you and I can all enjoy the ride to
the retirement land sooner than you have planned for.

Remember, AOL has the two browser market, no one else can claim
that, AOL has most subscribers and no one else has, AOL has
more e-commerce revenue than any other player, AOL has been
established oversea longer and bigger than others, each cable
or telephone deal in the coming days can only push AOL to a higher ground from here.

2 weeks back, AOL struck a deal with Lotus Note for their
5.0 release, now AOL will be part of LOTUS Note's utility to
connect office workers from their intranet to internet.

Boy, stay long on AOL, we shall win!

Regards.
