Bill: someone posted earlier that one of more of the gold miners may be part of the possible conspiracy which you are looking into. If we take this a logical step further, the only miners who could benefit would those who are already well hedged at, say, the $400 area for a few years more of their production. The would only benefit from a rise in the price of gold after the bulk of these hedges are unwound, imo. just a thought to mix into the cerebral soup.
