What did you say by saying it's old technology ?
Nothing.
I understand that using the same system they can detect
if the finger is alive or not, as well as identifying it.
Is not this a valid interesting capability of the system ?
I don't think that fingerprint based systems can do that
without adding specific extra device.
So cost issue.
I say bashing because you did not give any valid explanation.
If you can do better, please enlighten us!
Thanks
Archie thinking about buying some GDER

What does it say? DelSecur doesn't claim to have a unique way of determining a live finger, only one that works. It could be argued that their method of biometric finger reading is not that different from finger print reading done by Identix and others. Some of us who have studied the technology think that it is unique and has some advantages. But for the sake of argument, let's say that it is no cheaper or better than any other device out there already. So what. There are lots of companies that make network interface chips and cards, lots of companies that make monitors, lots of companies that make disk drives, lots of companies that make just about everything else we buy. Why bash delSecur just because they compete with your favorite company?

As an investment, the story remains the same, only the possibility for success has gotten closer to reality. This is a small company with a small amount of float that hopes to get agreements with major companies to produce biometric identification devices for a portion of a quickly expanding market. The investment is risky but the rewards, when and if they get one or more production contracts can be huge precisely because of that leverage. They do not need to grow to be a large company. delSecur could be just the 10th largest company in the field of what should become a significant segment of the computing and information industries over the next several years and the reward to investing now will be tremendous. If they do better than that, then great. They could fail, but then a lot of the money involved is from private funding sources rather than us small investors - so management has a lot personally at stake in not letting that happen.
