Thanks, ZP, very informative. Dampens my childish enthusiasm
somewhat, which, at my age, is a healthy thing I think.
More watching is in order, especially since my 2x chugs
along in the background while I play Battle Commander ... <g>

Overburn, yes, it's a royal pain in the gazpacho if you've
put 73'48" of music on your 74' CD and the *&^%** writer won't
close the disk. There's a bit of practical leeway for that
even though it's out of spec, I understand, and most
writers will do that. My 2x won't reliably -- burned
my first coster with the adaptec software tody that way.
Disk burned flawlessly but I couldn't close the sucker.
Claimed it closed on the second try, there's no second
try on a CD-R.

It upsets my CDRom drives no end. Kind of funny, actually.
I have this ancient 2x Toshiba with carrier that I use mostly
for audio. Put the coaster in and 20 seconds later the carrier
came flying out like the drive had indigestion. Haw.
Drive can't take Johnny Cash ... <gg>. Neither can I past
a certain point.

Burned perfectly second time around, closed and all, so I
fed the Toshiba Folsom Prison Blues for misbehaving ...
