To All,

I join this thread as a recent purchaser of a sizable number of shares. I am as sure as you can be that the qtr earnings reported by DELL will be very, very good. Word is perhaps spreading in anticipation of the Feb 16 report.

I have one concern if someone could help me with it. There are rumors starting that DELL could announce a split. I do not believe that they will at this time. Is it possible that the lack of a split, in spite of fantastic earnings, could bring the stock down, even for a short time? tia

Quite a question, there, Arthur, "Would it work for 20,000 share trades?

In options, 100 shares per contract, that would be 200 contracts. No problemo! The risk would be less, for example if you bot 200 2/95 calls Friday at 3 1/2 = $70,000 they'd have grown to $185,000 in 24 hours, a gain of $5.75/share.

By next Friday they'll be worth another $200,000, say I.

Most call buyers lose money, but for the next 3 weeks, maybe 6, we've got a semi-annual situation with Dell. Lets talk about this over the phone, I want to pick your brain too.

Thanks,

Don
