That may work with a slow moving stock. Careful using it in fast market conditions. The 1/8 loss will not work. For practice, see if you can catch any of the internet stocks just by watching the Level II. Usually when they move, 30 seconds would be more than any 1/8 point. Fast market conditions and slow internet connections will bite you one of these days.

Snerd & All,

I use CyberTrader software which prints alerts if the price of the trade goes against you by whatever fraction you preset. I don't know how people can daytrader without the proper tools. Its like asking a mechanic to fix your car with only a screw driver.

I pay $250 a month plus commission but save that and more by better executions. L2 is a must if you daytrade. Why give the MMs any more advantage than they already have?

CyberTrader isn't the only L2 broker by any means, so check them all out and decide for yourself what kind of decision making tools you want to use.
