Warrant holders:

There were some warrant holders that wanted out over the past year and became persistent sellers. Their aggregate total may have exceeded 15 million shares. It is likely that that overhang of determined sellers shares is now minimal. Since there are an infinite number of reasons to sell a position but essentially only one to buy, we may now be near a time when upward movements in share price will not be countered with immediate dumping. This relief of selling can only portend additional advances.

Recent announcements of Lucent's closer relationship with Real Player strengthen their total appeal to the RIAA. Sony's minidisc music downloads have appeal in Asia but IMO won't fly as well in US or Europe. Lucent's pricing practices for PAC will have to meet MP3's pricing but I believe they will meet the challenge. Edig has performed very well for Lucent in rapid delivery of a player using their system. Lucent's continued relationship with Edig should continue without interruption.

Handhelds needing both music and voice (VTT, TTV, SR, & PAC or comparable) will probably find all solutions with the Lucent/Edig team. IMO this is very clear to Intel and presumably others.

Even though the RIAA has scheduled a Feb. meeting with all over standards, I doubt much will happen other than their continued expressed wish for an open standard which does not lock out any one compression solution.

Even though others are already producing flash music players, i.e Diamond, Kobe or affiliates, Edig and Lucent are in a great position to benefit from their mistakes and struggles with the RIAA.

Any joint announcement of a contract with Edig and Lucent for player manufacture or licensing should point the way to much better times for shareholders. Current management appears to be making all the right moves. They deserve our continued support.

Best to all:
