freeus:<bankand credit card privacy> Yes. That's part of what I meant. I'm also wondering what law surrounds trading activity. I know nothing about this, but "old time traders" surely have this figured out. That is, certainly, one can do this anyplace where the communications infrastructure is sufficient. As in Shanghi--that is, the new Shanghi. I want to know where a trader is required to set his/her "office" for tax purposes, given the new reality that a modern day trader, is more virtual than any taxing authority ever thought of. We must be causing them huge fits. So, if you are interested in individual rights, you surely have chosen the one way to make a living, which will give you the most number of options in the future. So, we should all keep in touch...I'm loving round rock. Just got off the phone with a very nice local lurker, who is going to give me a tour tommorow...what a thread...btw where is bachman? This person wanted to know, and I can't find the mention of him from about a week ago...

Freeus, Where are the Cayman islands located? What is the weather like there? Is it just a haven for tax evading criminals or is there a legitimate (according to the US government) way to live there and avoid taxes on Dell stock? My wife is a French citizen with a green card and I am a US citizen. Does the IRS read SI? Of course I keep telling her the best way to avoid taxes is to never sell Dell. Warren Buffet was recently asked if Berkshire Hathaway stock was overvalued. He said something to the effect of "I don't know, I have not bought any in many years. I haven't sold any either". Ken Aird
