Friday's action was reported in The Globe and Mail on page B9: "Valu-Net jumped to a 52 week high after the Markham, Ont. based company said it will announce Wednesday the details of an electronic commerce alliance with Citibank and Toronto-based Inex Corp. Although Valu-Net offered no other details, trading volume rose to more than 1.3 million shares making it one of the most active in Canada."

I believe that Inex is an e-commerce software developer and is partially owned by Compaq and has other alliances with major firms.
