Howard,
My questions aren't irrelevant. For a company like GUMM to double its market cap from 50-100mil in the span of a few weeks (taking the price to book from a allready high of 10 to 20) I do think its relevant to ask what is behind the companies press releases.

BTW I didn't question if the product existed, I assume it does. Of course when it comes to investing in GUMM a key question is how will the company benifit, which leads to making some assumptions about potential revenues and the piece that GUMM would obtain. Given so little is available, it is appropiate to question the information that has been released.

Every investment decision is speculative. The object is to idenitify those that have upside potential presumably with minimal downside risk. GUMM at a price to book in the high teens poses a lot of downside. It's a great story, but it will take more than a story to maintain share price for more than a few days

Good luck Howard

My partner's sister just took it for her cold and it went away in less than 24 hours. Yes this is an anecdote and not a double-blind study. But she will be a repeat customer.

Howard that is exciting! I have been trying to get my hands on Zicam (in day 3 of a cold) unfortunately not available here. Your experience is heartening.... The potential is extraordinary.

Isn't it amazing how quickly someone with no relevant knowledge is willing to trivialize what is potentially an enormous breakthrough.

It is difficult to imagine the willingness to short a small float given this potential...

Mike

A search of the entire Medline index lists 63 citations for Davidson RS and 14 for Hensley CB. Given the disparate subject matter, it's unlikely that all of the Davidson cites belong to Gel Tech's Davidson. The Hensley cites, however, do all seem related. However, none of the citations for either have anything to do with the common cold or anything even close to the common cold.

The researchers mentioned in the very helpful Discover article have been working on ICAM for well over a decade. Other doctors who have worked with these doctors, including the group at UVA, have been working on rhinoviruses and a cure for the common cold for decades.

Can Hensley and Davidson have discovered something that the others have missed? Sure. But that would certainly be surprising.
